I've not felt well all week, but I'm so excited for the long weekend.  It will be a busy one for us with lots of things planned, but I'm sure it will also be fun!  I just hope I can keep up and shake off this vertigo and nausea.

Just wanted to let you know that C'est Magnifique has revealed it's September Kit today.  It's called "Shabby Dreams" and that's the perfect name for it!  First I'll give you a look at the kit, then show you one of the layouts I created.

Here's a layout I created using a photo of my niece and sweet great-niece.  I think this is such a darling photo of them.

C'est Magnifique September Kit (yes, it will be September soon)

Today I have lots of photos that pretty much speak for themselves!   I'm excited to share a layout of my darling nieces, giving each other a big hug.  I just love this photo!  

I created this layout using the amazing kit C'est Magnifique has planned for September.  The paper will be the beautiful Scrapberry's (Russia) "Coloured Dreams" collection and  the "True Romance" line from KaiserCraft (Australia).

A Day to Remember

I found this photo of my granddaughter and her friend before a school dance, and it reminded me of how much I loved the dances several years ago when they didn't have dates!  Oh well, I suppose they have to grow up whether we want them to or not.  

I've used the beautiful Pion Designs paper in the August kit from C'est Magnifique.  I love that this line (and many others lately) has some beautiful cut-outs on the back side of one of the sheets of paper.  To me, that's like getting an extra package of embellishments!

August Sketch Challenges and New 7 Dots!

I's a beautiful sunny day in central Ohio.  I've spent some time outside with my furry friends (Kiefer and Chester), but have also carved out some time to scrap today.  

Speaking of scrapbooking, I wanted to let you know that Leslie has two of the new lines from 7 Dots in the C'est Magnifique store - Messy Head and 9th Wave (which will be in the October kit).  I can't wait to get my hands on both of them!

 

There's also a great selection of new Prima products in the store, including Stencils, Resist Canvas Sheets & Borders, Stamps, and Metal Pieces. 

I also wanted to let you know of two sketch challenges that I'm aware of, both lasting the entire month of August, so you have plenty of time to enter.  The first is the Blue Fern Studios sketch challenge, which I love!  Lots of good examples on the their blog, too.  

The second August challenge is the C'est Magnifique Kits challenge.  It's another great sketch by designer Michele Singh.  I love that she has incorporated the little bench that is in the August Kit. You don't need to be a kit subscriber to participate in the challenge, so no excuses for not giving it a go! 

I sure hope you will get a chance to participate in one or both challenges this month.
