An Aura of Romance

The title of today's post is also the name of the February Kit from C'est Magnifique.  I love the elegance and romance of this kit.

Here's one of the layouts that I created using the February Kit.  When our granddaughter was younger, it was always a tradition for us to visit the Franklin Park Conservatory during the holidays.  I don't create layouts using only recent photos.  I like to mix it up and pull photos from several years ago and using them.  I think it's more interesting that way.

You can find the February kit in the C'est Magnifique Store HERE.  Have a great weekend everyone!

C'est Magnifique February Kit Sneak Peek

C'est Magnifique Kits revealed parts of their February kit, today, and I wanted to share it with you.  The paper in the kit will be the Believe Collection from Manor House (Australia).  It's a very classy set of neutrals that you leave as is, or make it any color you want!

The Magnifique Mixed Media kit is also available for purchase.  It's an awesome collection of items that can either be used with the kit (that's what I do), or it can be used alone to create some awesome mixed media pieces.

The flower and embellishments each month are a great way to stretch the kits even further.  Take a look at the two add-ons below, beginning with the Flower Add-om:

And then the Embellishment Add-on (what a beautiful combination of colors):

So, what are you waiting for?  You can find all these items in the February Kit section of the Store.

I can't wait to show you what I have been up to with this kit. I love it!

Happy!

I absolutely love layouts that can appropriately be titled "Happy".  Easy title to come up with since I had this cute photo of my niece, Callie.  Her entire face lights up when she smiles.  I used the January Kit from C'est Magnifique Kits to create this layout.  I love the beautiful blue damask paper.  I used a page from a children's book behind the photo.

There are still a couple of the January Kits available in the store!

I hope your Tuesday was a good day.  Hey, we'll be half-way to the weekend tomorrow!

Best of Times

Just a quick post today to share a design team project for Blue Fern Studios.  I've had the Marion Smith Nirvana collection sitting here for a few weeks, and I was anxious to use it.  So I pulled out my collection of Blue Fern chipboard, and began with the frame, which I painted black.  It's part of the Memory Frames set.  Other chipboard pieces used include the Winter Page Dangles, Ever After Frames, and Berry Stems.

I also got out my box of paint dabbers and used those to paint most of the pieces.  It was really quick, easy, and no mess.  Sometimes I like mess, but it's also nice when there is virtually no clean up involved.  This is a photo of my granddaughter, Eryn, taken last fall at a birthday party.

Here are a couple of close-ups of the chipboard that I used:

I sure hope you have a great weekend planned!  ~~~Valerie

Now that January is here..........

Now that January is here, so is the new kit from C'est Magnifique.  The kit is named "The Height of Chic", which is just perfect for this shabby chic kit!  You can see the entire post about the kit on the C'est Magnifique Blog, but here's a look at the kit and one of the layouts I created.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

I really liked the pinks in this kit, and wanted to combine them with some of the beautiful neutral colors.  This photo of my niece was taken at the end of her birthday party.  She had a wonderful time opening her many Hello Kitty themed gifts, but after the gifts and cake, all she wanted to do was lay down on the sofa and take a nap.  I adore just about any photo of a child, but a sleeping child has such a sense of peace.

Also, I wanted to let you know that the January sketch challenge has been posted on the C'est Magnifique Kits blog.  You can find all the details HERE.  It is a stunning sketch!  Hope you have some time in January to created a sketch using the layout.

Have a great weekend!  ~~~Valerie
